Social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest are just starting to be used in the classroom. However, it is sometimes a challenge with students to have them apply what they are learning in class to their social world.
This is where PowerPoint comes in handy. I’ve created PowerPoint Templates for social networking sites like Twitter, so that they can be used for classroom projects without any internet access, or filters to get through. PowerPoint is a tool that we normally take for granted. Often because it is linked to “awful” and “boring” presentations. I’ve found that PowerPoint can actually be “powerful” when used properly.
I’m coming out with an eBook on “Creating PowerPoints For Project-Based Learning”. In the meantime I wanted to share one of the PowerPoints I’ve made for free.
This Twitter PPT Template is set up for students to open and modify. They can change pictures, text, etc. Everything can be changed. This allows students to create a “mock Twitter account” for a character in a book, historical figure, or even themselves. Sign up below, and you’ll also get my 30-day course on “Putting the Power Back Into PowerPoint”.
