This past year at my school we’ve taken Genius Hour and 20% Time to the next level. After a Fall in service (where we shared about Genius Hour) five other teachers have stepped up to do it with their students at our high school. Below is a short video we put together to show teachers and students what Genius Hour is all about. We are also finishing up a longer documentary style video that should be available in the next week. If you are thinking about doing a Genius Hour or 20% Time project in your school, please share it out!

I am a BIG Believer in helping students learn but have fun in the process. And I know I am going to Enjoy getting familiar with Genius Hour if it’s primary goal is to teach the students what they are passionate about …and definitely apply state standards that support it. This is a win ..win situation for both student and teacher.

Dear AJJ
I took your Genius Hour class last summer but computer glitchers have made the Google Docs unavailable. Are you able to share again, or should I take the class over again?

Hi AJ!
I just sat in on your webinar. It was amazing. I look forward to talking with my team partners to see if they are interested in trying the Genius Hour. I would also like to see if my school district (JSD) would let us go and observe a second grade teacher who has implemented Genius Hour into their curriculum.
Thank you !
