This has been a long time coming, but I am so excited to share my new podcast with all of you: Inside Innovation!

Inside Innovation takes an “inside” look at real ways to innovate in schools and education today. You’ll hear stories from leaders, teachers, students, and school. You’ll get the inside scoop at the innovative work we are doing in my district. You will also hear some episodes where I’m challenging myself (and anyone listening) to think differently about what learning can and should look like right now.

Why a Podcast (and Why Now?)

There is something about audio that makes sense now more than ever. I listen to podcasts all the time. I listen to audiobooks all the time.

When I travel, or work out, or drive to and from work–podcasts are the fuel that gets me inspired and also helps me make connections to bigger and better ideas.

This podcast is something that I’ve wanted to do for a long time but kept on putting myself into a box.

I wondered (and worried)…

  • Should I make it an interview podcast and reach out to people in education?
  • Should I interview people outside of education?
  • Should I share my own thoughts and reflections on innovative practices?
  • Should I share what is happening in my own school district?
  • Should I highlight what is working in other schools around the world?

I kept putting myself in a box. Until I realized I could do all of those things. Tim Ferris has one of the most popular podcasts ever, and he does interviews, shares stories of his own life, rants every now and then, answers questions etc.

So, here goes nothing. A podcast that will include some interviews, some practical strategies and resources, some reflection, some rants, and a whole lot of highlighting the good that is happening in schools everywhere right now!

Inside Innovation: Get Your Listen On

I hope you check out the podcast and leave a review if you like what you are hearing! Also, I love feedback on what you want more of, or what topics you’d like me to cover during the upcoming weeks and months.

My plan is to start with a 20 episode Season 1, and then go from there.

Thanks again for your support, and I can’t wait to hear what you think.
